Hey VeeDub ReDub fans! We're excited to share some more progress on our project, where we're transforming the classic Beetle with Mk7 GTI components. This time around, we're focusing on the exterior, giving our revamped Beetle a fresh look that's both aggressive and functional.
We mocked up the hood, deck lid, and fenders, and we're thrilled with how it looks. The fenders are wider than the stock Beetle fenders, measuring 3.5 inches wider in the front and 4.5 inches wider in the rear. This isn't just for aesthetics, though. The wider fenders accommodate our increased track width and wider tires, giving our VeeDub ReDub a more aggressive stance and an overall wider width than the original Beetle.
We can't wait for you to see it all come together. However, the next time you catch a glimpse of our project, it'll be back apart and powder coated. Stay tuned for more updates on the VeeDub ReDub journey!
