Inside Updates: Firewall, Seats, and Sneak Peek at the Livery

We're back with another update on our VeeDub ReDub Prototype 1. Let's dive right in and check out what we've been up to in our shop.

Firstly, we've tackled an essential aspect of our build, installing a custom, carpeted firewall and engine cover in the cabin. This isn't just for aesthetics; it plays a significant role in separating the powertrain from the interior for improved safety and comfort. It's been a meticulous job, but we're happy with how it's turned out.

As our project progresses, we're planning to develop and manufacture a more refined and finalized solution for the firewall and engine cover.

Next on our agenda was managing the electronics. We've assembled a custom box to securely house the Mk7 GTI electronics in the hood compartment. It's about both tidiness and ensuring that these critical components are well-protected.

We've done the final install of the pair of Corbeau seats. They've got a great feel and should secure us snugly, especially when we're negotiating those winding mountain roads. We'll also be adding a bolt-in harness bar and racing harnesses.

Lastly, we're excited to give you a sneak peek of what's next for our Prototype 1 - a new livery! We're currently laying out the stripes we plan to paint on, and we can't wait for you to see the finished look.

Keep an eye on our blog and social media channels for all the latest news, behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, and more. We're eager to show off Prototype 1 at some upcoming events. We can't wait to show the car in person.

We're thrilled to have you join us on this thrilling VeeDub ReDub journey!
