GTI Infotainment and Tablet Gauge Cluster in VeeDub ReDub

We've done the final install of the Mk7 GTI steering column and infotainment system into the freshly painted Beetle body. By retaining these modern components, we're able to enjoy a sleek and comfortable driving experience that seamlessly integrates with today's technology.

The GTI steering wheel not only looks and feels great, but it also retains the tap shift function for the dual-clutch transmission, along with tilt and telescopic adjustments for optimal comfort. The GTI infotainment system, complete with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, makes playing music and navigating a breeze, just like in modern cars. Additionally, the headlight control has been integrated into the dash for easy access and a clean look.

As for the gauges, we wanted to upgrade from the Beetle's single speedometer to something more modern. That's why we decided to use an Android tablet to act as the gauge cluster. By using a Bluetooth OBD-II reader, we can wirelessly send data from the GTI powertrain to the tablet, giving you all the essential information about your vehicle's performance right at your fingertips.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make progress on our VeeDub ReDub project!
